Not investment advice
Backtestd is an educational project. The publisher is not a financial adviser, investment firm or crypto-asset service provider, and is not registered with any regulator. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset.
What a backtest can and cannot tell you
- A backtest simulates a rule on past data. Past performance, real or simulated, does not predict future results.
- Our tests include fees, slippage and funding, but real execution can be worse (liquidity, outages, price gaps).
- A negative result means no reliable edge was found with our data and method, not that no variant could ever work.
- We publish the method, every setting tried and the trade list so you can check for yourself.
Trading risks
Trading crypto-assets, perpetual futures and leveraged products is highly risky: you can lose faster than expected, up to all the capital you commit. Only risk money you can afford to lose.
Independence
Backtestd is not paid by any exchange, broker or strategy seller and publishes no affiliate links. We test rules, never people: no creator is named. If this ever changed, any partnership would be clearly labelled as advertising, as required by French law no. 2023-451 of 9 June 2023 on commercial influence.
AI transparency
- The narration in our videos uses synthetic voices. The French voice is generated from the publisher's own voice, with consent.
- Videos are labelled as AI-generated content on the platforms.
- The numbers come from the testing code, not from an AI: article and video texts are templates filled with measured values. No sentence states a fact the data does not support.
